Jupiter networks now operational in Iraq and Libya

Bentley Walker is excited to announce the launch of a new market leading Freedomsat broadband internet service for Iraq and Libya, partnering the next generation Hughes Jupiter hardware platform with Avanti’s High Throughput Satellites (HTS), Hylas 2 & Hylas 4.

The Hughes Jupiter hardware offers best in class throughput performance and utilises the industry’s highest bandwidth efficiency standard (DVB-S2X) to provide high speed satellite broadband at its most affordable price ever.

To complement this, Avanti’s high-powered ka band satellites Hylas 2 (31E) & Hylas 4 (33.5E) are utilized. Hylas 2 offers complete national coverage of Iraq and the newly positioned Hylas 4 offers complete coverage of Libya with improved coverage of the Southern regions bordering Chad.

With download speeds up to 50Mbps and upload speed up to 20Mbps the Jupiter system is well positioned to service both the consumer and business markets.
